What lesson of value...

did you learn in 2003?

For me among many things...

I am going to be writing Thank yous for the rest of today! sigh

Though this is a good thing... It's a task I want done! I have learned to deeply appreciate every gesture of what people do for me! Right down to a shared smile. I am thankful for every kindness.

I want to express that as often as I note it. I find it to be a powerful thing.

I wish never to take for granted anything in life again. It is so easy to do that.

What life lesson have you learned this last year?

That there's always something new to discover about yourself. And also never to lose sight of the little things that make it all worthwhile despite how dark it can be at times. Life is a truly beautiful gift and it's easily forgotten among the endless bullshit that we have to endure.

Be good, folks. wink

That life is a gift... and at the end of that gift is death.

So enjoy life, and live life to the fullest.

Never hold on to anger.. anger manifests itself into ugly diseases.

Sorry but it's true, if you let someone inside your mind and heart, they have the power to destroy you. Let people in, but don't let them in to far, don't give them power over you.

I have never let anyone in for the reasons you state Sweeny. I have learned this year that In so doing I may never have really been hurt deeply BUT I never have loved deeply either. All in the name of protection. This year for the first time I have made the choice to let someone in and experience the whole equation. I trust myself to be ok should it not work out. I know now I won't be destroyed but I will have lived. I pray for the best and have chosen very carefully. David is most sincere of heart and I feel I have chosen well. God willing and if we keep raising the bar all should work out great. What more can I ask for? Well a guarantee but that isn't reality! wink
There is the "if not" factor. That factor is present in all things love too and I now know I can take the good experience the pain and loss and be ok. I trust me. Walls down openly I go. I battle my old nature a bit. I will balance out in time. It's beautiful.
