Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Yule/Solstice, 3 Kings' Day, Eid, New Year's... Seasonal festivals have always fascinated me! Which holidays do you and your family celebrate? And how did/do you observe them?
I do: Christmas/Yule/Solstice: Lots of lights, garland, incense and a tree at home. Big dinner and gift exchange on Dec. 25 (but I have historically had only very light participation in the gift thingie). I occasionally attend Christmas Eve church services with my family (which is still largely Christian), and if I can find any active circles of Yule observants nearby, I try to attend (couldn't this year, though ). Kwanzaa: I light the Kinara for each day of Kwanzaa, and my friends gather for a big Karamu (celebration) on the final day. How about you? HAPPY HOLIDAYS, ALL! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I don't particularly celebrate Christmas but am happy for those who do. I just hope people stay safe and enjoy themselves be it alone or with loving family members. .

I celebrated Diwali once when I was practicing Wicca. I have this book called Moon Magick by D.J. Conway that has a ritual for it. But that's a Oct/Nov thing more than a Yule thing. I went to a private Solstice ritual once. That was cool. I didn't do anything this year except buy presents for my neices and spend time with my parents.

This is one of my favorite Diwali images:
I love it because it has my favorite gods/godesses. Lakshmi in the middle, goddess of prosperity, surrounded by Ganesha on the right, remover of obstacles and Sarasvati on the left, goddess of creativity. What she holds in her hands in an Indian lute, called a Vina. That's where I got my name.

Trip out, I just went to a store and found am 11x14 pic of the Diwali trinity. I've never seen one for sale that size. I've always only bought greeting cards or post cards with this pic.

That is a great stroke of luck! It's a beautiful image. Ganesha is my favorite of the Hindu pantheon. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
