I received "The Mastery of Love", and it is indeed a good book. nod...I'll have to check out "The Four Agreements" now.

Right now I'm reading "Beyond Fear", which is based on his teachings as well. Good stuff. Definitely check out "4 Agreements" -- that's the cornerstone of it all. nod

So I spilled the beans before Christmas, but the kindly Org moderators deleted my thread so as not to ruin it for too many people. Lammastide was my Secret Santa, and he gave me the best Christmas present I got, maybe the best gift I got all year!

It's a Salvador Dali tarot deck.

It's a very beautiful deck, and wonderfully scented as well. wink

Anyway, it came just as I am being absorbed into all things tarot. The letter that he wrote explaining how he chose the gift, and how to came to possess the deck in the first place, is wonderfully heartfelt. I've read it dozens of times, and shared it with family and friends.

As I said in the thread I started about it last week, the fact that someone I barely know could affect me in such a deeply personal way is much of the beauty of prince.org that continues to draw me here. Thanks so much.

Kinda sorta, but no. It's the teachings of Ruiz, as told to Mary Carroll Nelson. There are large sections that are directly the words of Ruiz.

I just got back from holiday today and I received a wonderful package in the mail while I was away. My secret santa was Julie, aka FreeSpirit!!

From a beautiful heart and soul comes a beautiful assortment of gifts. First there is a wonderful card (with a picture of Ms. FreeSpirit herself love), telling me a little about herself and why she sent the gifts she sent (sorry, just between she and I, you will have to wait and see if if she gets YOUR name next year for all the juicy details). I received an Arizona State t-shirt (yes, it fits), that was near and dear to her heart. Its funny because I graduated from ASU (Appalachian State University) in the mountains of NC, and whenever I go out wearing my old college sweatshirts, everyone thinks it's Arizona State! Now I have a REAL Arizona State Tee and I love it.

Second is the Maxwell 'Embrya' cd, one of my new faves. I am just loving it music

Third, Wine charms (or martini identifiers). Do we have a connection or what??? I am sipping on my second cosmo right now as I write this post. They are silver and black and you put them on your martini glass in case you have too many and can't remember which glass is yours (it happens nod) and they have different animals on each. So cute. You are a sweetie.

Another beautiful card (and they smell good too nod)

Just a true delight, inspiration, and wonderful person. This is why I did this SS again this year. My heart and soul was touched by another so-called stranger. This is what I am thankful for.

Thanks Freespirit for all of the wonderful energy you sent to me for the beginning of a new year, I will never forget it.

Well, I didn't play Secret Santa, but several Orgers were kind enough to put thought/feeling into action, and sent me gifts:

--Diva/Tracy: ((we're on Round 2 of trying to get a package to me, the first one she sent months ago apparently got lost))

2 Ani DiFranco CDs and a gorgeous candle-snuffer/candle-putter-outer, lol (what are they called?)

--Byron: a card and a Crowded House CD he burned

--DudeDrops: a mixed tape is on its way, I've been told

--SupaFunkyOrganGrinderSexy: a mystery gift has been promised wink

hug Just you guys wait, your turn is comin' round! nod
