Which one of these was the worst movie of 2001? There were so many bad films that year this is only a short list :
Mulholland Dr. (2001) Vanilla Sky (2001) Artificial Intelligence: AI (2001) Jurassic Park III (2001) The Order (2001) Pearl Harbor (2001) Freddy Got Fingered (2001) The Fast and the Furious(2001) Moulin Rouge! (2001) Planet of the Apes (2001) Scary Movie 2 (2001) Glitter (2001) Jeepers Creepers (2001)

Planet Of The Apes gets my vote.
Jeepers Creepers started off so well but just got silly once it was clear he was some winged indestructible creature Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I hate all Scary Movies WHAT IF THERE IS NO TOMORROW? THERE WASN'T ONE TODAY!

Mullholland Drive should not even be on that list!!!
DAVID LYNCH IS BRILLIANT!!!!! Many people didn't understand this movie, but that doesn't make it bad. _____ [This message was edited Tue Dec 23 6:18:14 PST 2003 by JediMaster] Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. Of the ones I saw, I can vouch that "Jeepers Creepers" was very VERY bad. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

They were all quiet bad. I couldn't pick just one from the list.

And for the record, the worst movie of that year was, hands down, Pearl Harbour, followed not far behind by AI.
While I DETESTED Moulin Rouge I have to say its because it justisn't my bag. I'm not so sure it belongs on that list either. It was successful in what it set out to accomplish (I just don't like what that is). Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Vanilla Sky is the best thing that came out of 2001... It never ceases to amaze me how most (Americans at that) have to have explosions and an simply story line to keep them watching, not to mention a story line that an infant could follow... and THIS movie was one EASY to follow
If u were to include this movie as "worst" then u simply dont want to pay attention... If u dont like it, thats fine, but it is not by any standards "Worst" or a bad movie..

My problem with Vanilla Sky is that it was TOO dumbed down for Americans, with the whole "Basil Exposition" character who showed up at the end to explain it to all the morons in the audience who didn't "get it". If it hadn't have been for that, it would have been one of my favorite films of the year. I kinda liked Jeppers Creepers..
I caught a few minutes of Glitter on HBO a few weeks ago.. God besides telling Mariah to wear some clothes that fit her body.. tell her she cant' act her way out of a paper bag too!! The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom - Anais Nin

I expected more out of Cameron Crowe than for him to "dumb down" his movie. That's part of why I like Mulholland Drive so much (a similar film, in that both are fantasy creations of the main character, with reality intruding) because it didn't explain it. The viewer was left to figure it out for him/herself, even if it took multiple viewings. The people who weren't going to get it had already decided they hated it by the time it got to the explanation anyway, so it just wasn't necessary. I think Cameron should have trusted his intelligent viewers, and ignored all the rest. Glitter is too easy of a vote...
so I'll go with Planet of the Apes...could've been an awesome remake, and was hugely disappointing...watching a movie full of Michael Jackson look-a-likes was simply NOT FUN
