things that you thought of before it became popular

Any ideas you had in your head before they eventually became popular? Stuff you asked yourself "I wish there was...", "they need to...", and then later on it happens, confirming u were ahead of the curve?

I wanna hear them!

Hi danielboon

I don't know when CDs arrived in Scotland but I remember listening to an ABBA CD as early as 1981.

hi

the first cd i bought was alphabet st 1988 i think it was p's 1st cd single ? the 1st promo was iiwyg (promo cd 2747) 1987. the 1st album i bought on cd was lovesexy again 88 and i didn't have a cd player !!!

cd's had been in circulation for about 18 months, pre 1988 in the uk. i waited until they were accepted as being on song ! if u pardon the pun , i had heard a lot o stories bout dodgy cd's pre 88.

if u wer listening 2 cd's in 1981 well done ! cd's became popular in the mid 80's in the uk.

In 1981 access to first generation players was very limited with infant markets for CD technology only truly created in Europe and Japan in 1982 (and a year larter in the US).

The real commercial availability of discs did not begin until later in the decade.

I think CD's first became commercially available in 1980, although it was another few years before most people heard of them. I know it was about 1986 the first time I saw one.

I "invented" inline skates (rollerblades) - I used to be a skater in my teens, and thought wouldn't it be great to have skates with all the wheels in a row just like an ice skate blade. Then some clever sod went and invented them years after I'd given up skating. Oh well.

Musical Telekinesis Technology (MTT) using superstring and holographic hard drives - it just hasn't taken off in some cyberspace regions yet, but those that have it have abandoned Kazaa and iTunes.

UptownDeb

This happens to me often. It happens with people too!
For instance... I was checking out Flex when was he was just a back up dancer for Salt-n-Pepa. I thought he was hot in their "Push It" video. Although he probably had about 2 seconds of screen time, that's all it took for me to notice him. love

Now, he's got his own show on the UPN (or is it the WB?). AND he's married to singer Shanice Wilson. How unfair is that?! I SAW HIM FIRST!
