not necessarily. i've orgned both rdhull and 2the9s while they were deactivated, and they went through.

unless they've patched up that loophole recently.

The C better get re-activated as rd said, he is a charter member.

The C is usually pretty reasonable in his arguments but he always stands up for what he believes in.

What did he say on that thread before it got snipped?
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Did Matt really de-activate him over comments that C made on that thread?

If that's the case that is fucking weak.

For the record, C was issued a third "strike" (which results in an automatic temporary banning) for an abusive comment directed at cborgman. It had nothing to do with me or Melissa. Perhaps you should think before making meritless accusations like a loose cannon.

you'd think, but when it comes to him, there is no such thing as objectivity on his part, as i experienced personally when in my run-in with him that contributed to getting the GD shut down originaly.

i remember _ _ _ using the words "high strung" and "over-reacting" with his name associated. whistling[/quote]

ohh my stars..you just reminded me of this time period..hehehee..

man, for people who are so damn quick to call people drama queens and accusing them of over-reacting, ya'll sure do it an awful lot.

he flamed me, i DIDN'T report it, cause i only report people who continually flame me, and i didn't see the comment, but obviously it was a third strike case.

ya'll oughta maybe think about knowing what happened before you start hysterically over-reacting...

i didn't see the post, but based on how much in that thread was left intact, i am betting his comment had nothing to do with the topic.

oh, good lord, please don't make a pointless fight out of this.

the simple fact is his deactivation has NOTHING to do with any of you. it is between him and the moderators, and to a much lesser extent me.

period.

That puts me in an interesting situation, eh? If I take any moderation action in that thread, my motivation gets questioned. But if I don't, then people are free to violate the rules with impunity. I'm screwed either way.

no it doesnt...you could have snipped the comment and brought it to ben's attention for action later on..

or better yet, you could have just emailed "c" and give him a warning pending a less partial mod...

come on now!!! your a lawyer..you know this stuff...

i gotta say, i have recieved a couple org notes from mods...and while i respect the volunterism a am always shocked at the lack of tact from which comments are made...

i said this from day one (when you, aaron and i got into a tiff about the new org); "mods set the tone for online forums"...
