it has to be one of these, because as a rule i don't go see shit movies. i have some sixth sense that tells me there will be absolutely no redeeming qualities to certain movies, so i don't go see them.

though Phantom Menace gets a special mention, because i got caught up in the hype and went to see it (by myself even), though i had absolutely no interest in it or the original series.

Agreed. It sucks that two horror classics got remade into craptacular films (House On Haunted Hill was the other one).

oh, you should see wild wild west, it's is so amazingly bad it makes you laugh at how bloody awful it is.

I felt EXACTLY the same way. I didn't want to see it based on the trailer. A friend who's opinion I trust basically said I HAD to see it, and he was right. Incredible!!

Likewise with The Haunting. Neither of these needed cheesy remakes. They were great to begin with, and far scarier.
