Anji, you goon!

Back around the time of his mysterious departure, I began orgnoting him. Partly because I was concerned about the tone of his posts, partly because I didn't want him to go and partly because I really liked reading what he had to say. But mostly to get some information from him. What he was saying was too unbelievable to be true, but it was convincing in its own way. I think he really brought out the best and worst of the org. He could get us into thoughtful discussion when everyone could care less about Prince - remind us of why we liked the guy in the first place. But he could also inspire jealousy, skepticism and anger. He seemed to be really honest in his orgnotes to me. I won't get into the details, but he was spelling out what he left vague in his posts about Prince. Just a couple days ago I got another orgnote from him stating that he was sorry for lying to me about basically everything that we discussed. It was just research and a test for his "work". I don't understand this. He seemed to be genuine and thoughtful at first. Now he just seems to be as deeply disturbed as Prince. Why Anji?

In the absence of anything concrete which suggests the contrary, and given that there is an admission of lying, there's nothing to suggest this is anything more than attention seeking.

It's difficult to believe that this was some "work" experiment or research of any integrity because it was apparently based on falsehood. Some people may recall a not dissimilar claim from an individual who regularly posted on the old org, provoking considerable response by some, only for them to suggest ultimately that they had been using the org forum as a test bed for their PhD research (or whatever) on how people behave on the internet.

Whether or not such claims are true, it's not worth fuelling someone's ego further if they continue to act (in your own words) as a 'goon', which - despite their public admission on another forum yesterday that they had lied - they seem to be doing. The only way to stop people playing games is to stop playing, and move forward.

If 'Anji' has experience as a 'Human Performance Consultant , as they previously suggested, then they might recognise that.

I have come to the conclusion that we really don't know anyone here.

What you read is not neccessarily what you get... it's the internet, and this is a fansite honoring a man who's major publicity draw is that he is continuously fucking with his "public".

Aside from that, it sucks that he appears to have toyed with you... you deserve better than that, as I have always found you (or perceived you) to be sincere, forthcoming and genuinely nice.

This, of course, makes Anji all the more mysterious though, don't you think?

The obscured truth and questionable research practices aside, maybe this should stand as a lesson from Anjiland to those who were "caught up": The real magic, inspirational genius and wonderment is always in our own heads. Whom we allow to wield it -- Prince, Anji or ourselves -- is largely up to us.

I know people who have met Anji in person, and they tell me that he really is a very nice person..

I am sure he meant no harm.
