Chris Rock has talent. He's smart, witty and bold. But only on a few occasions has he struck me as downright funny. I personally think Chris Tucker is FAR funnier than Chris Rock, but unfortuantely he's focused on stupid movies more than his standup roots. I've read that since he went to Africa he has a different stance..that he was not gonna clown anymore in his movies etc. I think I remember hearing something to this effect. Lenny Bruce and Don Rickles are my all-time favorites. Lenny virtually created "blue humor" and "Live At the Curren Theater" CD is one of the GREAT social commentaries of all time. Bruce recorded this while awaiting trial for obscenity...the last time. He was bankrupt and was on his last leg of his life.
