AT NIGHT OR IN THE MORNING?

When it comes to opening your Christmas gifts do you do it on Christmas eve or Christmas day? My family has always opened them up on Christmas.

In the morning. The wait is half the fun. And it is cool to have everybody around at once and watch their expressions as they open their gifts.

REDFEATHERS

In the morning, we all come downstairs together as a family, sit around and give each other our presents.

Christmas Eve is usually too hectic although I know my Polish family open their presents on Christmas Eve. It is my Grandparents wedding anniversary so the WHOLE of our family go to my Grandparents where we chat drink have nibbles and give them our presents.

big grin

in my house, we had this silly tradition that we opened all the presents at midnight on Xmas Eve. most times after midnight mass.
then we eat all the cassava pie we can get our hands on.

VERY EARLY Christmas morning.. Since I was a kid, we always get up at like 7am and open our gifts.

Christmas morning with my immediate family, and Christmas Eve night with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The church my family went to always had a "midnight mass" on christmas eve which was beautiful. There's at least 15-20 lit xmas trees scattered throughout the church and everyone is holding candles. The mass is done in the dark. They bring in a horn section to accompany the choir.

We get home at like 1:30 and hit the sack, then open our gifts on Xmas morning.
