My daughter (2 years) is getting that way too. 
We've decided to only let her have one short sleep during the day. She will get up at 6.30am and stay awake until 1.30pm. Then we'll put her to bed until 3.30 or 4pm at the latest. She then goes to bed, for the night, at 7.30pm. Hope it works for you.  This routine works exceptionally well on my 2 year old too, but not on the older one, they are different - you will see in a year or so!! We need some time to ourselves in the evening, so the 7.30pm bedtime is essential, but a day sleep sabotages it! | |

All I can think is that you either get him up earlier and put him down for 7.30pm. Or he just goes to be later.  | |
