Ever dressed up as Prince?

Last week or so, I've been goofing with my mates that the next time I went to a fancy dress party I would get dressed up as Prince on the 'Dirty Mind' album cover.

Today, I've been invited to a party on January 17th. A fancy dress party.

I'm not going to back down. I just think I'll have to skip the boots because:-

a) I think they'd be expensive, even more so for size 10
b) I've never worn high heels and at a party where drinks & drugs are likely to be consumed in large ammounts, doing something to interfere very severly with my balance.

However, I'm resolved to do it. Anyone else dressed up as him? Any tips?

Kinda. I once dressed as Batman but my social worker made me take the mask off.

I do celeb impersonations for parties, club openings etc, and Prince is one of my most popular characters.

Hmmm. Points of life.

Why does a 28-year old want to get dressed up as Prince circa 'Dirty Mind'? I think maturity got lost on it's way to me!

Still, one of my friends is on about going as Abraham Lincoln in the Electric Six video, so I'm sure I won't be the only one looking insane. Also, if I get self-concious, I can just close my raincoat.

hee hee... you do know we expect pics, right?

and i think it is damn clever. i hate when people show up with boring off the rack bland costumes. this last year i went as a str8 man, had a mullet wig, camoflage pants, an old t-shirt with a bullldog on it and the sleeves torn off, and a pained expression on my face. other favorites were the year i went as tonya harding and a friend went as nancy kerrigan, the year i went as both hall and oats (via a fake head on my shoulder), and the year i went as nicole brown simpson post stabbing, and a friend went as OJ... although the last one kinda bothered some people.

Not exaaactly... But, I was seriously into trenchcoats in the early 80's. I also had this black lacey pseudo pirate-looking blouse. And I just had to have a pair of black stilettoes, but I talking Vanity 6 now.

Pics? Hell, yeah! If I can find a site to host them. I think even the internet might not be depraved enough to contain pictures of me with my little, hairy tummy hanging over a pair of Marks & Spencer white fronts, wearing a charity shop Macintosh!

I'm normaly crap at fancy dress until this August I went to a musicals fancy dress party. I think the orgnaiser had very low hopes of me, going by previous crap turnouts. I think everyone was a little surprised when I turned up as Adolf Hitler. Failed to pull, though and these particular parties are meant to be the best place 4 a guy 2 pull!

Well, I failed to score. Don't you have that saying in the US? Like, "I want to pull [insert name]", as in to initiate physical contact. You've pulled even if it's just snogging.

I wasn't having trouble masterbating. Well, I was later becuase I'd drunk so much but that's a matter for another forum!

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll be making a far bigger twat of myself! It's a friend's birthday party and she lives down in Nottingham & I only know one of her mates, so a lot of people's first impression of me is going to rain coat & whitefronts. There'll have to a be a wig too & a penciled on moustache.

It's going to sick!

that's pretty much what pulls is limited to meaning here, in the slang sense. i was thinking "wow, that must have been some party"
