I work in the medical records office in a hospital, so I get to see all of the new birth certificates, and my mom works as a nurse in the intensive care nursery, so I get some good ones from her, too.

Swear to God, there was a baby from a mother that didn't speak English too well, I'm supposing, and named her baby SHITHEAD, and said it was pronounced "Sha-tay". My mom was trying to tell her that it was "shithead" without offending her, and the mother became furios and told my mother she was stupid for not being able to see that "Shithead" is pronounced "Sha-tay". LMAO!

Some of my favorites that I've seen are Cache, Shanehneigh (like from Martin, lol!), and Sparkle.

Some ghetto names are pretty, they're mostly Africans or Arabic oriented and black folks started using it since the panthers days. And they also carry very DEEP MEANINGs!

When I was in junior high, some girls thought that my name was too ghetto "Aisha".

It means life in Swahili but it means "Living" in Arabic(which is originaly an Arabic name).

Some folks also think that my kids carry ghetto names too:

Khalid(Eternal)
Iman(Faith)
Jawahir(Daimonds)

All Arabic names!
