easy. and fun too!

True fun can be found in accepting God's word and will. Satan loves mocking and hurting people, but God loves lifting people up and healing their pain.

Satan is the coolest love

Satan is certainly the coolest character in Dante's Inferno, as he is encased in an icy block at the center of hell.

You mean Hell has frozen over!?!?!?!?!?

You know what that means!?!?!? Sweet! I can have sex with Angelina Jolie now because when I asked her she said "when hell freezes over".

You have brought the best news I could ever hear!

where did I put her address? hmmm...

wouldn't Dante be considered a false prophet? tsk tsk no no no!

Dante was not a prophet, false or otherwise. He was, however, a good man and a lover of God.

ah, but so many Christians subscribe to his notions of Satan and hell that it has become the false image of them. tsk tsk no no no!

There is no doubt that the heretics and defilers would attack Him. Satan's influence is very strong. What the attackers and defilers fail to understand is that Jesus is eternal and is with God.

The Lord, Jesus Christ, is always with us. Some choose to ignore him, some choose to mock him and others choose to love and accept him.

The choice is yours.

Some people act the way they believe God wants them to, just so they can go to Heaven. But that to me is being false.
You should be yourself and do what your heart, mind and body tells you, because if God exists, he can tell the real you no matter how you act on the outside.

All religious texts were written by men who were inspired by God and their accounts all point to the important fact that hell is not a place that you would even want to visit, much less be doomed to for all eternity.

The message is what is important.

One does not need to read the bible to love and know God, one only needs to live a righteous life. The message of the bible is important, but the actions of people are important as well. You can read the bible cover to cover and still not know or love God. You can live a righteous life without reading the bible and truly love God.

the image of Satan and Hell portrayed in Dante's Inferno ARE a work of fiction, yet you defend it as religious text. that is no different than doing the same for Hansel and Gretel.

One does not need to read the bible to love and know God, one only needs to live a righteous life. The message of the bible is important, but the actions of people are important as well. You can read the bible cover to cover and still not know or love God. You can live a righteous life without reading the bible and truly love God.

oh, i know, but apparently works of fiction are just as good according to you.

God is not a work of fiction.

If a person reads Hansel and Gretel and lives a righteous life because of it, I don't see that God would have a problem with that.

the image of Satan and Hell portrayed in Dante's Inferno ARE a work of fiction, yet you defend it as religious text. that is no different than doing the same for Hansel and Gretel.

I said that it was inspired by God and was used to show the perils of evil and sinful behaviour.

It is easy to mock those who do not defend themselves, but rather spread the word of God and His teachings.

easy. and fun too!

True fun can be found in accepting God's word and will. Satan loves mocking and hurting people, but God loves lifting people up and healing their pain.

Satan is the coolest love

Satan is certainly the coolest character in Dante's Inferno, as he is encased in an icy block at the center of hell.

wouldn't Dante be considered a false prophet? tsk tsk no no no!

Dante was not a prophet, false or otherwise. He was, however, a good man and a lover of God.

ah, but so many Christians subscribe to his notions of Satan and hell that it has become the false image of them. tsk tsk no no no!

All that you need to know about hell is that it is unpleasant and painful.

indeed, but all good Christians should stick to the Bible's version of it, instead of the false prophet Dante's fairytale version of it. no no no!

All religious texts were written by men who were inspired by God and their accounts all point to the important fact that hell is not a place that you would even want to visit, much less be doomed to for all eternity.

The message is what is important.

so you're equating a work of fiction with all other religious texts? slippery slope, Christian Soldier

The inspiration is from and of God.
The message is that of God.

Do not look for God in a temple. God can be found in the mountains, the trees, the oceans, the wind and the rain.

yet you cite it as religious text, and use it as the visual description of what Hell is, like so many other Christians do. i know you can't help it, fairytales and mythology are powerful things and hard to shake.

I never cited it as a religious text. I replied to a flippant comment about Satan being cool by referring to Dante's conception of hell. This does not mean that Dante is Jesus or that his work was divine, it simply means that Dante described Satan being encased in a block of ice at the center of hell. It is useful as a tool of understanding the horrible torments of hell, but that does not mean that it is a divine religous text.
