There was something hard bulging in my holdall bag, and when I looked I forgot I bought an advent calendar a few weeks ago, it is a SpongeBob Square Pants (yeah yeah very festive I know ) but what is great is that I had 11 windows to open and 11 chocolates to eat today!

Who here has an advent calendar and what kind do you have? My aunt used to buy the chocolate-filled ones for me when I was a little girl...it was so exciting to be able to open that little window each day and have a little piece of candy

Can I offer to buy U 1? Do they have ones with a little drink inside each window? On the first day of Advent my JD gave to me a Gordons behind a Christmas tree On the second day of Advent my JD gave to me two pints of beer, and a Gordons behind a Christmas tree. On the third day of Advent my JD gave to me …… Fuck that there are 24 days in Advent I will be here all night. Thanks JD but I have always thought of them as a countdown of your life, never much liked them as a kid. Mostly because we were so poor we used to recycle the same one. “oh oh what is behind the door today……a picture of a present (before you opened it!)” Not very thrilling. When I was younger my Mum used to buy an advent calendar for we kids.
It was a nativity calendar and inside were little glittery pictures, (beautiful detail) of the shepherds, the 3 kings, a star, a lamb etc etc. Each day the three of us took turns to open up a window. I can remember being more excited to see what picture I had behind the window than any non-Christmassy chocolate calendar.

My kids have one each:
spongebob squarepants, scooby doo and the fimbles. As a chocoholic, you have no idea how hard it is to resist stealing a few then closing the windows back over! I can't even buy selection boxes for them till xmas eve, cos if theres chocolate in the house- i MUST eat it!
