"Happy" Holidays??? We've lost 3 beloved members of our family within the
past 3 months. Timeline: 3 months ago, we lost our chihuahua, Barbie, when she ran out of the yard and got hit by a car. 2 days before Thanksgiving, our cat of 14 yrs died at the vets office. She was very ill and as they were trying to give her IV fluids, she had a heart attack and died. This past Saturday, my father-in-law died suddenly. He was 83 and was having health issues. An autopsy was done on Monday, but we won't get the results for about a month. Right now, all we know is that he had some sort of internal infection going on, which caused 105 degree fever and his blood to become thin as water. He'll be missed. May he rest in peace. Anyways, just venting...we'll carry on and make it an enjoyable holiday for the kids. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

OH NO! JOHN... Please let me know if there is anything you guys need... this is so horrible. I've met both of your cute pets...and remember the watch story you told us about your father-in-law (which was a great one, btw)
I'm thinking about you and your family at this time...please give Irene a hug for me...

I know that this time of year seems to attract misery, so that each year we have it flung back in our face.
But I like to think of it as a beautifull way way to remember, at first (the first year) it can be difficult. Then each year you have cause to reflect, sitting all together with new pets and new family members and you recall all the good stuff and somehow it's comforting. All moving on, still together in one way or another. For me, not a big fan of religion, this is what Xmas means and it IS a HAPPY time. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown
