Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and watch some TV this Sunday. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I only wish the scene of the angel crashing through the ceiling were kept a bit more secret. That's the visual climax of the story, isn't it? Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

it is a two part miniseries that is adapted from the pulitzer winning two play series, and in my opnion, one of the greatest peices of art i have ever witnessed. I don't want to say a whole lot on the details, aas I dont's want to give it away. at the very least it, is an incredible story of 7 individuals existing within the beginning of the AIDS crisis. It also serves an very true discourse of the severe mis-handling of the AIDS crisis by the reagan administration (something "the Reagans" on showtime also pointed out) because they saww AIDS as god's vengence on homosexuals. It also is about the apocalypse, as heralded by the angel of the title to a man dying of AIDS. It is also about religion, savation, god, death, life, love... the list goes on and on. it is very hard to define it by one storyline or thought, as it is one of the most densely layered stories i have ever seen/read. i am sure it will be, but for those with HBO, or friends with someone who has HBO, do't wait. i, as a habit, watch very little TV, but this is worth planing around Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

I want to know as little as I can before seeing it so I can go into it with no expectations. The few articles I've read about the HBO miniseries have kept a tight lid on the "spoilers" of the story, and if they do that after the script has been available for almost two decades, you know it's gonna be a mindblower.

...not to mention I can't STAND Emma Thompson, and I think she looks fantastic as the angel...

I SOOO will be there on Sunday. I'm cancelling ALL plans to see this on Sunday night!
And Emma Thompson plays the Angel...it doesn't get any better than this...except for the fact that Pacino plays Roy Cohn and Meryl Streep plays Hannah!!! "Greetings, Prophet..."
