I saw this movie for the first time a couple of years ago, and I still don't get what's so scary about it. I didn't have a problem with it.

I saw this in the theater a couple years back and everyone in the theater actually screamed out loud at this part. I believe it. That scene always gives me the total creeps.

PAZUZU Iraq ca. 800-600 B.C. Bronze Purchased in New York, 1943 The demon Pazuzu represented by this figurine stands like a human but has a scorpion's body, feathered wings and legs, talons, and a lion-like face on both front and back. Pazuzu, the "king of the evil wind demons," was not entirely unfriendly to mankind. As an enemy of the dreaded Lamashtu demon, bearer of sickness especially to women and children, Pazuzu is often portrayed on amulets used as protection in childbirth. The ring at the top of this figurine suggests that it was such an amulet. Isn't there a scene where this demon has a penis?

Neversin said: This thread makes me go watch it again late tonight... All the lights down and the noise way up (for anyone who has the Director's Cut DVD watch in on an high end system, these noises she makes are the most creepy you've ever encountered)... BTW you gotta check out the first one and be prepared to get the scare of your lifetime when you encounter that microsecond flash of that sexy thing in my avatar... Or even better, get that Director's Cut for some more sexy flashes... Neversin. That face was the scariest part of the movie to me... I remember late one school night I was flipping through the channels, and I hit a channel playing the Exorcist just as it flashed by. It freaked me out so bad I went to school without sleeping that night. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

This movie still ranks as about the scariest I have ever seen (part 1).
Scared the shit out of me when I was a teenager. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

David, if I were you, I'd pretty much stick to various versions of the first film. The second film made me downright regretful I had eyes. The third, while it was slightly better (it was also written by William Peter Blatty, the writer of the first film), was nowhere near as good as the first. I'm hoping the upcoming prequel will be a winner, but those hopes are very slim. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Im sorry, but there is one woman in the world I wouldnt have sex with for all the money on earth. That woman is linda blair. look into those eyes... even looking at her now, and yes she is hot, scares the shit out of me. id be too scared to have sex with her. but she is cool. she is a bigtime animal activist and owns Pitbulls (as you can see) and runs an animal rescue/adoption shelter as her own charity (the linda blair worldheart foundation). here is another... she has a website http://www.lindablair.com/ with other pictures and updates to what she is doing. I'd rather watch the Linda Blair movies
where she was an alcoholic & the other where she gets attacked in the girls' school.
