Hey Beer Man!!!!!

To my fellow brew drinkers...tell me what your favorites are...I need to find some new ones to try...I've tried many, but I know there are more out there!!!

I am currently feeling Spaten and Steinlager!

New Castle is an all time favorite and Samuel Adams and Dos Equis Amber are always solid performers.

onward.

I am a fan of the Dunkelweizen. Spaten (as you said) and Tucher both make a great Dunkelweizen. But a chunk of Orange in it for the ladies, they will love it.

Have you ever tried Hoegaarden White? Also a good choice.

If you ever come to the Atlanta area, come to Summits Wayside Tavern. Over 100 beers on tap. The place came straight from the heavens.

Also, have you ever tried Abita beer from New Orleans? Their entire line is solid. I especially like the TurboDog for a dark and flavorful beer.

Oh yes! Hoegaarden white is a wonderful thing.

I also rate Budvar Budweiser (the Czech thing, I think it's just called Budvar in the US - long story), Nastro Azzuro, Tiger and Cobra.

Damn, I didn't want to drink 2nite! I even went to a bar to buy some records & P vids off a friend earlier & managed to just have a soft drink. U guys are testing my resolve!

I've been trying to get you guys to teach me the ins and outs of beer drinking for months!!

In total ignorance, though, I know what I like... Heinekken is my standing favorite, and I'm diggin' Cider Jack and Woodchuck draft ciders. Hornsby's sucks.

YOU REALLY DO NEED HELP!!!

Put the Cider Jack down. If you are going to drink that garbage have a Strongbow.
And Heineken? There is a reason the work "Heine" is in the name. Because it tastes like an ass. smile

It's all good though. We are here to help. For starters, go have a Bass, Harp, Boddingtons or New Castle. Those four could easilly get you interrested in better beer. Those were the first ones I tried and I havent stopped drinking New Castle since.

If you brewed a beer with no hops and then distilled it and aged it you'd get close to scotch. So to answer your question; no.

Try Stella Artois, Corona, Becks, Bavaria, Hollandia, Dortmunder, James Boag Premium, Cascade Premium Lager... There's too many to mention.

Stay away from the crappy US beers which mostly taste like watered down piss.

Cheers beer

Add Irish moss...set timer for 25 minutes.

Add finishing hops...set timer for 2 minutes.

Thank you, looks interesting I have never used crystal in a stout, only black patent and roasted barley, must be slightly sweet
a couple of questions when you get a chance, this is for two and a half gallons or do I top it off to five?
When do I ad the oatmeal?
Thanks again

Let me say after drinking beers with bkw last Saturday, I've decided I need to get into training before our next session.

Add James Squires to the list, but stick away from India Pale Ale which tastes like spiced up Indian piss.
