Spike Lee's new film "She Hate Me" PREMISE: A Harvard-educated biotech executive loses his job after exposing his bosses' corrupt practices. To support himself, he hatches a scheme to impregnate rich lesbians in high-powered positions.
Spike is nuts! I love him. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Moderator | Who is gonna be in it? In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

He's apparently having personnel problems... From various sites, I've gathered cast members as follows (Some are unconfirmed)... Anthony Mackie (the lead character) Reynaldo Rosales Ling Bai Monica Bellucci Chiwetel Ejiofor Woody Harrelson John Turturro Whoopi Goldberg Jim Brown Q-Tip He had also apparently planned to use Mos Def, Rosario Dawson, Nia Long and Jeffrey Wright, but each left for various reasons. Spike is reportedly pissed at Rosario because she chose to appear in Oliver Stone's forthcoming "Alexander," which has a competing production schedule. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Yeah, "Girl 6" was definitely his weakest, but I still thought it was a bit fun. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

When Spike first hit the scene I was into his movies. I would go to the 40 acres office in Fort Greene (Brooklyn) to get buy the t-shirt. I still have my "School Daze" tee. They'd already printed tees for "A Love Supreme" but then the movie's title got changed to "Mo Better Blues" (Mo better, makes it mo' better--remember?). That t-shirt might be a collector's item now...maybe.
My favorite is Crooklyn (thought I've never liked the title ), reminds me of growing up in Do or Die Bedstuy, back in the day. Anyway, I haven't seen a Spike Lee Joint in ages. I might need to get hold of "Bamboozled", "Summer of Sam", and "25th Hour" when I get some down time. btw, whatever happened to Tracy Camilla Johns (that her name, right?) from "She's Gotta Have It"?

If Monica Bulluci is in it I'll see it. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Dec. 2, 2003 | PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Continuing his criticism of rap, Spike Lee told an audience at Brown University that popular music portrays blacks in a negative light.
Speaking to an audience of more than 400 students Monday night, the director of films including "Do the Right Thing" and "Malcolm X" repeated the complaints he's made at colleges and universities over the past year. "I've always felt you can feel the progress of African Americans by listening to their music," Lee said. "Some of this 'gangsta rap' stuff, it's not doing anybody any good. This stuff is really dangerous." He said some black adults equate education, good grammar and good grades with "being white," but when he was growing up, those things were seen as positive goals. "You were not ridiculed if you spoke correct English," he said. Lee urged the audience to make their voices heard by not buying or viewing anything that portrays blacks in a negative way. "We buy all this stuff, not even thinking about what's behind it ... Think about the power that we have," the 46-year-old said. "We can't just sit back and think it doesn't affect us. We have to do something about it. We have to be more choosy about the types of stuff we support." Lee also urged students to follow their dreams after graduation, "or you'll be sitting around, fat, divorced and miserable because you took some job, or you took some path that you didn't really want to do."
