Has anyone read this book by Susan Faludi?
Although nowhere near as famous as Backlash I thought it was better, and probably more dificult for a fomous feminist to write a book saying that men heve been given a bad deal.

In her last book she blamed a lot of womens problems on masculinity run wild, but she looked deeper at the situation, she decided that the problem wasn't too much masculinity, but an almost complete lack of it.
The traditional role of the male was gone; being part of the comunity, teamwork etc
men work jobs that give them no actual feeling of acomplishment, they feel no control over most of their lives etc.
This leads to men adopting the trappings of manhood, a big house, the right clothes, whatever the media feeds them as to what a man should be
this is a very oversimplified view of the book,
when the book came out she wrote an article about Fight Club which came out at the same time comparing the two
