HO1KC is suppossed to be demented! It is also suppossed to be derivitive. It was meant to be in the vein of the old 70s explotation horror flicks. An old-school drive-in movie.
In fact, the film was much more violent before it got edited for an R. Eventually, Rob plans to do a director's cut DVD (probably around the time the sequel is released). It was intended for a very specific kind of audience, and its not going to be everyone's cuppa tea. Personally, I thought it was a hoot!

I saw it, and was trippin' on it. Sure, it was cheesey... especially that whole 'ride' part - and that lame and predictable ending.
However, what continues to creep me out is that all of this shit always happens out in the boonies. Same with the film, "Wrong Way". These inbred fucks exist! Something to consider next time you're in West Virginia cruising through the back roads alone... and your tire blows out.  |
