Try Scottish transport.
My donkey got too old and they shot him in the face.
I was still astride him.
But a bairn - 12 years young
Now I'll sing 'til all the sad songs are sung.

The train yesterday wasnt running so they put me on railway replacement coach, then I had to wait another hopur for the train, outside in the freezing cold. after, I got on the train, there were no seats so I had to stand AND changed trains later, only to find it was delayed... the train journy from Manc to London wasd supposed to take 2 - 2 1/2 hours and it took me 5 hours, I messed the best part of a party and was really pissed off and stressed afterwards.. mad

The wit McMeekle is implying that your big guns may be over-compensating for something else, BigGuns.

Yeah, the trains are a terrible mess. I think as far as the railways are concerned, its problems can to some extent be traced back to its privatisation-another example of where the government acts in complete defiance of what looks like common sense. Just like going to war with Iraq, many voters thought that selling the railways to the private sector was a bad idea just like going to war with Iraq. They were seemingly proved right whilst the government was proved wrong. The problem with democracy is that we elect people whom we trust to exercise good decisions. Once that trust begins to erode cynicism and disillusionment sets in.
That is why it is important to understand why the Conservative government made bad decisions with regards the rail network. The answer is not that they failed to listen to the voters but to expertise. The protests of people who knew how the railways worked-and who advised that though privatisation wasn't necessarily wrong, it was certainly wrong to split British Rail's functions between loads of of different companies. There were just two Railtrack engineers on the decision board and there was no research department. Renationalisation may work and be the best thing for the railways but it could all be rather too complicated.

Good luck. hug

Ive just heard on the news that some underground drivers working in the Farringdon area have been sacked for leaving 150 beer cans in their mess room. Its all very well them moaning but they could of easily cleared them. They're probably gonna have another strike cuz of this now apparently. rolleyes
