Why dont you tell me the truth. I know it already just wanna hear it from you now. Well The story of Santa Claus evolved from a pagan fable that originated in Amsterdam. His real name was Sinter Klaass and he would travel house to house with his elf Black Peter. The reason why they say "you better not pout or you better not cry, I'm telling you why" is because if you were bad that year Black Peter would take your soul. Think about it Pais, if you took the "N" out of "Santa" and placed it on the end, what would you get? I try not to think like that.

Until two years ago, Christmas had been a dead holiday for me since perhaps junior high. The materialism, the commericalism, the insanity of spending 11 months to stabilie your financial situationonly to commit fiscal suicide in December was absolutely disgusting. But then my daughter was born.
Now, the holiday has new life. And while I do fight with both my family and that of my ex-wife regarding showering my daughter with unnecessary presents, I feel the holiday is a personal chance to instill some sense of cultural tradition and, eventually, charity in her. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Christmas is too commercialized. We tend to forget that it is actually the B-day celebration of Jesus Christ. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

Are you sure about that? "Christmas" actually pre-dates the birth of Jesus. 99% of all Christmas traditions are pagan in origin and have nothing to do with christianity.

For me, christmas is a time to spend with my family and close friends exchanging thoughtful (not necessarily expensive) gifts and sharing great food, drink and lots of laughs. I do love to see the look on the little ones faces when they open gifts or when they see someone dressed as Santa. Christmas for me has nothing to do whatsoever with a baby born in a manger. It's about family and friends and spending time together.
