I was the first to arrive, after spending several days roaming the parking lot looking for a spot...when I saw one opening a few isles away, I gunned it, jumping the curb and knocking over a few senior citizens along the way. Cruel, I know, but dammit, I was running out of gas circling the lot...

Supa was the first to arrive after me, and then RayRay and JanFriend...the 4 of us talked outside while realizing that we were probably gonna be stood up by everyone else. We decided to eat at the Cheesecake Factory because their choices were so varied and they have a unique reputation for amazing cuisine and oh hell who am I kidding we chose it cuz it was closest.

By the time we were seated at our 10-setting table, we told the host that the other 6 people were all in the bathroom after having eaten bad clams (he bought it!!), and he agreed to sit us even though everyone in our party wasn't present...RayRay, Supa and I all spread out along one side of the tables, hoping to fool passing waiters into thinking our full party had arrived.

Two or three weeks later, Chico, Freespirit and Milty showed up, right before the host was about to call the cops and turn the hose on us...Muse came shortly afterwards, making a grand entrance and filling out the 8th spot of our table. Supa and I stood up and mooned the host, who by then started hanging up the phone and telling the cops "nevermind.."...

We all perused our selections, which was a cross between a menu and an IKEA catalogue ("Hmm...I'll have the linguini alfredo and a leather sofa, please")...JanFriend had a Chino Marguerita (or whatever) and had to send it back, much to the bartender's chagrin...Supa did this freaky thing with his arms behind his back in a praying position, and like the toehead I am I attempted to do the same, the result being my arms getting locked in place behind me...Chico and Julie did this weird thing with their lips, and JanFriend recited every line of dialogue from every movie ever made in the history of mankind...RayRay lurked...and Milty just watched, trying to convince himself that America wasn't full of nutburgers.

Muse then skipped out on her check--I mean, she left early...and the rest of us left about an hour afterwards. We ended up meeting at the ferris wheel, then following Supa around the parking lot while he searched for his car...he disappeared into some vortex of some kind for awhile, then reappeared with a bulging envelope of about 297 CDs worth of music for me. ...I forgave him at that point for making me freeze my off...

Supa left after that, and the rest of us started back to our cars...I parked in a different direction than the others, so I said my goodbyes back at the ferris wheel and gave the goodbye hugs to everyone...I'm not sure, but I think Milty grabbed my ass... :O

Seriously, tho...it was a great evening, and it was wonderful meeting "screenames" in the flesh, giving their Org personas beautiful life and breath...

RayRay...very nice to have met you. Start posting more, my friend...

JanFriend...you are so different than you are on here...lol ...Great personality...might need to fix your volume knob when you're reciting certain things from movies while in restaurants, tho...lol (you should have seen the people behind you react when they heard you talking about "I want 12 inches"...)

Chico...wonderfully warm, and I'm not referring to heartburn and gas...lol Love how you dance instead of walk... Wonderful to meet you, too...

Julie...always beautiful to see you...always. *smile* Hope you made it back to Arizona safely.

Milty...yet another extremely warm person...he looks even more attractive in person than he does in his photo...the fucker...lol Hope you have a safe trip back as well...

Muse...you definitely know how to make an entrance... It was wonderful actually talking to you face-to-face, and uninterrupted. Don't forget what you promised me you'd do...

And Supa...meeting you was definitely the highlight of my evening... ...We have known each other for a looong time...but it's been 3 years, not 5. It only feels like 5 because my posts were so long and took forever to read back then (heh).. ...But truthfully, it was indeed like two long-time friends reconnecting again...it felt that natural. And all the music!!...MG...thank you. *smile*...I deeply appreciate your acknowledgement of all the time we spent knowing each other as friends...it meant a lot to me...as do you and your friendship.

Looking forward to any future get-togethers that might take place if I'm invited. *smile*...

There are some people here I've had, um, "unfortunate" experiences with, so let's say quite likely I would have a difficult time fully appreciating meeting them in person. I've seen how unkind people can be here, speaking of someone's picture or personality behind that person's back, so it could very easily happen with a real-life meeting. That said, there are other Orgers whom I trust and feel very close to and would love to meet in person.

I think each person's emotional/mental boundaries should be respected, as far as how they feel about meeting in person.
