Don't knock it if you haven't tried it! It picks up the flavor of whatever it's cooked with and they put in stuff with Tofurky that tastes well enough to fool vegetarians (some have sent it back at restaurants thinking they got the wrong order!)
I'm wary too but I'm gonna give it a chance.

Ive tried tofu 3 times. Once a friend was just cooking it with some soy sauce and veggies. YUK!

Then I had a tofu hot dog. YUK!

Then I got tofu at Moes. (a Southeastern US Burrito Chain) YUK!

But hey. To each his own I guess. I love turkey too much to pass up the real thing. I just with my Grandmother would cook collard or turnip greens. Damn I love greens.

I think you do have to know how to make it right. A lot of veggie substitutes are awful. nod

I have not had tofurkey, don't think I would like it because I hate when they try to make one food taste like another.

I am not that big on reguler tofu, but I like the five spice kind

natural fresh soy sauce is wonderful, tastes different than the supermarket stuff

We always have roast pork on thanksgiving, except my wife who picked last thankgiving to go vegetarian
