TCM: Original Vs Re-make for those of you that have seen both which one better, the original or the re-make...i want one or the other on DVD (when new 1 is released) but dont want to waste my cash on both. | |

Well since it's YOU who are gonna buy it and keep it, the only
question that matters is which one do YOU like best. If you haven't seen either of them, then rent out both versions and decide for yourself. | |

The original is a classic and can't be beaten. Nothing can quite compare to the grim reality of it - you feel like you're watching a documentary.
However, the re-make is pretty damn good. It manages to re-create the nightmarishness of the original and is only let down by a bog-standard horror film climax (although the actual ending is quite good). Buy both, because ultimately they're two different films and although the plot is roughly similar, they are two entirely different, and very good, movies. | |
