The MEDIA is not trying to destroy black ICONS. If you are using MJ and KOBE as examples you shouldn't.

These men have been accused of some serious crimes. Because our country practices you're guilty until you prove your innocent it will look like a bashing. Once someone is accused of a crime the media jumps up and starts throwing mud regardless of their race.

If these men were white and had the same life and lifestyle the media would be looking to find any dirt they could.
Kobe is guilty of cheating on his wife. Kobe was looked at as this perfect young American so now after he acknowledges his guilt of cheating the whole feeling of how nice this guy is has changed.

The media is going to go after anyone who is an icon and it doesn't matter what race they are it matters if they are popular.

If kobe wasn't who he is and he was just the everyday joe and he did this it wouldn't get any media attention outside of Colorado. It most likely wouldn't even spread outside of that particular city or town.

I can't believe the media is going after mega-musicman Phil Spector and legendary actor Robert Blake. Are they trying to tear down the White Entertainment Industry?! What up with that? I just don't get it?

OJ Simpson isn't in jail for a crime that he has been found guilty. He had to pay the family of Nicole Brown a shit load of cash. Now OJ has lost most if not all respect that society has for him which could be considered being destroyed. Reality is OJ isn't in jail for life or he didn't get the chair and the media went after him as well and still does but the fact is he was found guilty.

With this in mind would you want to consider OJ as an ICON?

IF and noticed the word IF MJ is found guilty of molestation would you want to consider him an ICON?

If Kobe did rape this this girl would you want to consider him an ICON?

I wouldn't at all in fact I don't think any athlete should be considered and ICON or a ROLE MODEL. These are the people who should be considered Role Models or ICONS- ROSA PARKS, Harriet Tubman, Nelson Mandela, Dr. Martin Luthur King, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, SK Mohanty, and my favorite nobel peace prize winner Jimmy Carter.
