My sweet little daughter, Mia, turns 2 on Friday.
I can remember holding her in my hands and thinking..."What do I do now?"
She was such a tiny thing when she was born and I couldn't get over how much hair she had too.

I guess it was the moment I realised that I'm an adult and I have someone who depends on me. It's amazing how much you learn about yourself when you have a child. I guess she is constantly teaching me things about myself and making me look at the world in a different way too.
She's a sweet caring girl and and I hope she enjoys her Birthday Party on Sunday.

Experiencing the world thru your child's eyes does effect you deeply...for me, it caused me to reconnect with seeing beauty in everything......I used to see it everywhere, but I felt like the only person within my life who did...but seeing a toddler just run their fingers over something simply to marvel at the texture it contains...*sigh*...things we "adults" move right past without a second thought, yet a child stops and marvels at so much...when my daughter did this, my thought was "MG...finally someone else within my life who notices and appreciates the beauty all around us..."

The Whitsunday Islands are off the coast of central Queensland, about 1500 kms further north I'd guess. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the world!
