good albums to fall asleep to

you know sometimes it's good to play some music to get sleepy and to fall asleep to, eventually. not because they're boring, but because they have a nice mood, the music is mellow, or maybe the monotonious beats make you relax.

i like to play:

bedtime stories - madonna
beaucoup fish - underworld
dead bees on a cake - david sylvian

wanna share yours ?
yes SIR!

Future Sound Of London, "Dead Cities".

I had killed a man, a man that looked like me

By the time you move past "Max/Antique Toy/My Kingdom"
and into "Quagmire/Through Your Gills I Breathe" you'll
be in cinematographical heaven.

It conjures up images more profound than most dreams
you'll be having.

One of the best, if not THE best album to lull yourself
to sleep with. And yet, it's not boring. There's so
much going on and it works so well. But it's just like
a warm blanket of sounds, otherworldly and farmilliar
at the same time.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Mercury Rev -- All Is Dream and Deserter's Songs
Me'shell Ndegeocello -- Bitter
Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach -- Painted From Memory
Enya -- Shepherd Moons (and any of her others, actually)
Beatles -- Rubber Soul and Abbey Road

i like them all tremendously, but when needed, they can have the desired effect of sleepiness.

Death by Stereo: anything by them. I think loud hardcore music is the best way to relax and fall asleep

I like this one, but sometimes when it gets to the title track, I am rustled out of sleep!

Ambient music is good to listen to AND relax and rest to. My fave is Brian Eno - Music For Airports.
