Is the title of this very cheap Dutch illustrated children book EVERYBODY in Holland should own.

The translation? Four Little Beavers In The Night I like the innuendo. Field day for Cloud and Chris making silly remarks and go on for ages about nothing.

The story is quite cute.

Little Beaver () is scared of the night and his three big buddies then proceed to sing songs for the moon, go swimming and look at bats.

In my translation it is three gay guys showing this uncorrupted boy the ways of the park after dark...

"What are they?" ask Little Beaver.
"Are they birds?"

"No, bats. They sleep in dark corners during the daytime. But in the evening they wake up and then they fly around all night. If you are silent you can hear them sqeauk."

Little beaver listens intently.
If only he could fly like that. He sighs...

Drawing eight
"Are you still afraid of the night, Little beaver?"
"Just a little bit."

"Come on, let's go do something very nice."
Little Beaver follows his friends curiously.

Drawing nine
When they reach a huge lake the four little beavers glide into the water slowly.
De air is warm and the water is refreshingly cool.

"Swimming in the night, now that is special," the little beavers say.

Drawing ten
"it's lovely," says Little Beaver.

Drawing eleven
"Are you still afraid of the night, Little Beaver?"

"No, now I love the night. What shall we do now?"

The other little beavers sigh...
And do you know what they say?

"Now it's time to sleep."
