I think Ben created all the moderator's accounts, just to fake an air of
democracy and integrity. Which one he chooses to use is just depending on his mood and the type of reaction threads desire. Ian didn't take a break, Ben retired it because the image of witty Irishman was played out, and a certain wave of controversy started to surround this moderator. And do you really think that Matt has a long distance polyamorous relationship? That only happens on TV. LaVisHh was retired because of the fact that Ben is essentially a guy. It became too hard to keep the facade intact. The only real moderator is Handsclapsjadajada, and the reason she has the job, is simply because she posts too much. By having her accept responsabilities contained in being a moderator, her freedom of speech is controlled by the Prince.org intellectual capital.
