I know a lot of brothers that have seen the R kelly tape. They say that say that the girl didn't look 15. I have even heard comedians joke on televsion that the girls are more devloped now days thank to Mcdonalds so they could understand R. Kelleys predicament. I think that in a strange way, men can relate to R Kelley and and underage girl. I alway catch grown men eyeing my 14 yr old daughter. But how many "normal" people can relate to Michael's alleged sexual fascination with pre-prubescent boys?
Does it really matter? Underage is underage... I absolutely (sp) agree. I think that R. Kelley needs his ass thrown in jail. He did marry Aliyah when she was 15 and his shit is on tape. I'm just saying that I have heard a lot of men comment on the fact that they understand his predicament. While I have never heard anyone make the same claims about "understanding" Mike's. illimack has hit the nail on the head in respect of the different reactions to R Kelly and MJ. Men in particular can sort of relate to R Kelly's predicament because we have all seen 15 year old girls that are physically attractive and look very mature. Shit, we have morals etc and would never act on it but we sought of understand it. (note: I still think he's a sick fuck if he did it and deserves jail time). However, most men cant relate to the MJ thing because it involves boys and these boys are 12 and younger. Also, MJ is way more high profile and is seen by most people in the world as probably the weirdest dude on the planet. I suspect MJ will not live through all this. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. | |

Question: does anyone know what the status is of the investigation of R. Kelly's child pornography and statutory rape charges? It's a case where there is evidence that R engaged in sex with underaged girls and video taped it. Yet I do not recall this level of media or police scrutiny into the case. Not only has R seemed to be able to shrug off those charges, but he has gone on to release one of his most successful albums to date, garner awards, and receive standing ovations. MJ, on the other hand... well we just don't know really what the deal is. Of course MJ has a much higher profile. Those sheriffs are def out for him $3 million bail; multiple charges; etc. Didnt R.Kelly marry Aaliyah (may she R.I.P) when she was like 16? And if so..how...like 16's still underage, how'd he do dat... Or have i got my facts completely wrong They lied when they filled out the marriage certificate; the marriage was annulled on the basis of Aaliyah and/or her family proving her real age to the court.
