Why is Plastic Surgery being glamorized by the media?

All I want to know is , why all of a sudden it seems like the media trying to glamorize plastic surgery?

They try to make it seem like it's the right thing to do to fix all of your life problems?

Have y'all seen that show, Extreme Make Over ? They find these people who are supposedly unattractive and living a terrible life, then once they get the Extreme make over, their life is so much better and easy ,all because of how they look ?

I can turn to VH1 or something and catch a program talking about all the many surgery some star as had, just to have the picture perfect image...

With 2day’s day and age young girls are so impressionable. looks is everything to them, it determines there social status, especially when you’re in high school. It's the only thing people seem to judge you by.

It's bad enough they don't get enough hearing about how sexy Britney Spears is everyday in the media , then they have to go 2 school and deal with the pressures of impressing each other by looks. Am I the only one who thinks this is silly ?

We don't teach are kids how 2 love themselves from the inside. We teach them , how 2 love themselves from the out side which will eventually lead into alot of insecurities.

This is why the young generation is so phucked up. Somewhere down the line we 4got about diginity, integrity and morals. We are teaching our kids that only outter apperance matters ... This is even boils down to racism.

When will people just start appreciating each other for who they are as a person. Not just by what they look like, what color they are or how much money they make, why can't we just except each other for who we are instead of who we aren't?

I like that show. The subjects seem well adjusted and the docs do amazing stuff. I especially like when they show how happy their friends for them.

Did anyone see the ass-enlargement documentary? No joke, this was horrible. Poor girl's ass was fine, then she had it augmented, looked slightly better for US$14,000 but couldn't sit on it for a few months. Goddammn. Ouch.
