I was thinking about how this site has evolved and if there are people who only come here to enjoy the community.

Are you one of those or do you come here for info on Prince or both?

In other words what is your primary reason for visiting the Org?

I would fall into the category of both.

the Prince stuff is about 4th or 5th on the list of reasons i still come here after 7 years.

I was just talking to the Housequake guy about this tonight. If I wanted serious conversation regarding Prince, I would go to housequake more often, or stick to the PMM forum. I'm here mostly because of the community though - it's just an added bonus that most of the people here like Prince.

Thinking about it, about half of my friends here on the org are huge fans, while the rest could either give two shits about him or just barely like the music. When I hang out with org people the conversation usually drifts towards the org itself or other categories of interest - we don't sit there for hours discussing his music, for example. I like the fact that I can come here and watch the craziness but sometimes I'll randomly learn some fact about Prince just by chance.

I like Prince and his music a lot, but I rarely go to the P Music forums here anymore. The Org has become much more about the people and conversations in the forums (GD/P&R/LS&R). I get updated on Prince stuff every once in awhile, but quite honestly, I think NPGMC is the better place to get the scoop on P and his music...

I will elaborate! The friends I have made here mean I am here a lot more than I would be if I was only here to read up on info about Prince. Although I read the other forums if I was to narrow my reason for being here down to one thing it would be because I love the sense of community and the people here who make it all worthwhile.

I can't say that I'm a prince fan. I can say he is probably one of if not the most talented musician I have ever seen. He got the groove.

I came here for one reason, my nephew Pejman. It just started with a few posts and then something happend. I was hooked lined and sinkered.
