I remember posting in a review I wrote of the "Hit N Run Tour" that John Blackwell looked like "an octopus on crack" up on stage...and then found out that Prince himself quoted my "octopus on crack" comment during a concert a few days later...lol... :blows on fingernails:

AHHH!!! I typed a LONG thing and I dunno what happened but it didn't go through! Stupid cable connection! hehe Anyway, I would like to thank 2the9s for starting this thread. It reminded me of a lot of things, positive and negative. You know the funny thing about me coming back to Prince.org is the fact that it had NOTHING to do with anything Prince related. It had everything to do with the quality of people here and the friends I have made.

I remember how we used to have our ONE purple and black forum. People would get upset when we got off of the "Prince topic" or would "chat" in the forum. Oh, does anybody remember Ken? He was cool! hehe Anyway, we seem to have more forums now but in a way the quality of conversation doesn't seem to be as good. I don't know why exactly, some form of a supply and demand effect? Too many threads and not enough "quality" subjects maybe? We seemed to be pretty tight back then though with less posts.

Some of you might remember or know I'm a songwriter. I want to share something with all of you. Some might rememebr my websites, music samples and all tha other crap! haha Or when lightyeargroover and I tried to get a band together. He was actually going to move here from outta state...long story. Well...I have some news at my Yahoo group I'd like you to check out...

It's basically about me currently dealing with some record labels. All of the details are in the group, please feel free to check it out. I like the opening statement of intent but the decision to go ahead anyway suggests a desire to alienate newbies. I took off one star for that.

The anecdote that follows is relevant amd mildly amusing although it might be one of those "you had to be there" things. I don't know, I wasn't there.

The invitation to share memories has been well received, has bought a lot of people together again and there is a warm glow of nostlagia emanating from the whole thread. Of course there was always the potential to take a pop at certain individuals and 2the9s veiled diss towards me made me take off one more star.
