What are you reading? I am reading Jonathan Carrol's "The Land Of Laughs".
I have discovered this writer whilst in Paris. His books take a normal person as lead, who have to face reality twisted untilit bends. Always fun to read.

The Bible.
It's a little far-fetched though and the hero doesn't appear until half way through it.

What is it about? I wish people would tell a little bit about what they are reading... The Berkut is the name of Russian hunting eagle and this book is based on the premise that Hitler faked his own suicide and escaped Berlin. A team of Russian's are sent to track him down and the leader, Petrov, is known as the Berkut. The book runs from operation Barbarossa, the invasion of Russia, to about 1963. It's a belter

I just finished a book written by my aunt called “Among Muslims” accounting travels in Northern Pakistan, and I must say I really enjoyed it. I am really getting into travel/anthropology books lately. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

They do not shun nudity, but not in the porn kind of way. Actually, the October issue features a "chick" reclining on a motorbike. Whilst doing so she bares her breasts. I gave the pic to a lesbian friend of mine. She hooted when she saw it. nekkidedit [This message was edited Fri Nov 14 7:09:47 PST 2003 by gooeythehamster]

Pensees by Blaise Pascal (pretty deep)
"After the death of French scientist/polemicist Blaise Pascal (1623-1662), his friends discovered among his papers a variety of jottings on religion. These they arranged and published as PENSÉES ("Thoughts"), which has come down to us as the liveliest, most eloquent apology of Christianity ever written." Knowledge has two extremes which meet; one is the pure natural ignorance of every man at birth, the other is the extreme reached by great minds who run through the whole range of human knowledge, only to find that they know nothing... but it is a wise ignorance which knows itself. Those who stand half-way... pretend to understand everything... they get everything wrong. ...Pascal
