I was protected too, but for me it was cuz most of the bullies and/or their friends were tryna kick it to my older sister. And she being the bomb sibling, didn't mind her geeky lil brother hanging with her and her friends so I had immunity. The Deebo in my life was this big angry Navajo kid in 6th grade -- EVERYONE was afraid of him, he used to steal bikes but no one would dare confront him about it. He lived a few blocks from me, and most kids did everything they could to avoid hanging around his house. Well, one day at school, he finally comes around to pick on me and bully me around. I've always been the kind of person that hates to see good people being treated bad. I was sick and tired of the way he had been treating others. So, when he tried to make me do something, I talked back to him. He said he was going to fight me after school and I better be there. I was about half his size, but I said I'd be there. I was tired of his crap, and someone had to make a stand against what he'd been doing to all of us. So after school, I go out and meet him. Not many other kids show up -- either they thought there was no way I was going fight him, or they were afraid that he might want to beat them up as well. He walks up to me, stares me down, and insults me. I got in his face as best I could (just like in the movies, haha), and I told him he was just a stupid mean bully -- "You may scare other kids, but you ain't gonna ever scare me! I ain't 'fraid of you!" I had so much anger in me that I was ready to let loose on him. He must've seen it in my eye, because then he says, "Well, just don't start anything with me," and he walks away. Part of me was like, "Whew!" It was great, and after that people would say things like, "Don't pick on Jasziah; he's cool." Actually, during the next couple years we had some decent conversations and he turned out to be a good person -- even went to church, and rode motorcycles with me once.

I had two brothers who were my childhood bully enemies - Malcolm and Julius - and they would hang me over the stairwell by my ankles while we were waiting for the bus, and they'd steal my folders and hide them from me until the janitors would eventually find them stashed behind lockers or under a statue or something. They were pretty hardcore.
Then there was this girl we called Tuna Trash because she was a big girl who dressed in tight fringey Tanya Tucker outfits, and she beat the shit out of me one day. But then, if someone called ME Tuna Trash, I'd beat the shit out of them too, so I deserved that one.

In my neighborhood it was Kyle. He used to threaten kids with beating them up. Didn't matter what age and even challenged some parents to fist fights. Well, we were all kids see. and one day he chased some of us over to another house for talkin stuff to him. We were young kids and he came to the house and hit the door real hard. Well, inside the neighbors house we where in. He came hitting the door again. Well me and my brother decided to leave after a while and they were like, don't go out there! but we had to leave and when we did. Kyle jumped out of the bushes and I ran back to the neighbors house and he caught my older brother and pushed him against the side storage door and just as fast my brother reached down and grabbed a brick and popped him in the head on the side of the eye brow my brother was 10 or 11 and Kyle was 17 or 18. He just looked at us in the house stunned. He stopped bothering us after that... His family moved like a few months later. The mofo was just mad, bad and crazy. Bad combination...

I went to an all girls school so you can imagine what that was like at times..
When I was about 12 and had just started some of the older girls would bully us younger ones, anyhow my cousin also went to this school, and one day I heard them say "Shes' so and so's cousin"...after that they left me and my friends alone! My cousin was a tough one. Some of the girls used to give the teachers hell..once at the end of a lesson, the teacher was so angry, throughout the lesson all the girls had been whispering about her, never saying anything outright, just smirking and giggling behind their hands ( girls hardly ever bully outright, they do it subtly and in a way that can drive you potty!) and all because she had on a new pair of boots. Girls schools... We used to play hockey and bash the hell out of each others ankles.
