Are you a serious person ? One of my philosophies is,” you should never take life 2 serious", because I know 99.9% of the time, you go through unnecessary ish, based on poor decision you made some time in the past. Even if you find urself in some deep ish, it always overpass, nothing last 4ever , not even turmoil. This is why 4 most of the time, I try 2 make myself happy, save my tears 4 something else and just ride with flow of this thing called life, however.
How do you view yourself as a individual? Are you a serious person or do you just take life 4 what it is as the days goes by? life edit [This message was edited Sat Nov 15 6:33:51 PST 2003 by DigitalLisa]

I'm a very serious person. I sometimes wish that I was a bit more light-hearted.

I try not to sweat the small stuff. It bugs me out when I see people trippin' over nonsense. (Okay, I know "nonsense" is subjective.) Like when my supervisor wants to call 911 when there's a paper jam in the copy machine. Uh...remove the damn paper?! It's not rocket science! Gah!
I always wonder how people who trip over the little crises handle the big ones! Of course there are some things that aren't that easy to fix (e.g. a life threatening illness), but for those things we can fix, the things we have control over, I say put an "h" on your back and handle it. I ALWAYS try to see the bright side of things. I comfort myself in knowing that things could be worse. I also LOVE to laugh. I don't take myself very seriously. I know I f*ck things up sometimes, I'm far from perfect--I'm only human. Some folks are just too uptight. To them I say, "Crack a smile sometimes, laugh a little bit, loosen up." Try to have a healthier out look on life. I mean we're only on this earth for about a minute. Life is WAY too short to take minor things so seriously. I leave my 'seriousness' at the door when I log onto this site. My physical friends know who I really am, not my electric ones.

Moderator | I'm TOO serious, learning or trying to learn how not to be. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I think people nowadays are too afraid of being serious. It isn´t "politically correct" (no matter how strange that might sound). Everything has to be stated in witty catchphrases that are maximum two lines long and they think that...oops I´ve crossed the limit now. The positivity/light-heartedness police is probably already on its way.

I'm either FUCKEN serious.
Or uncontrollably full of joy. Joy and mirth....the best tools for telling the ways and the rules of the world to get fucked. . [This message was edited Sun Nov 16 15:52:12 PST 2003 by mrdespues]

I'd consider myself serious. But that has become a disadvantage on my part. It's because of my seriousness that I can't get a good girlfriend. Girls are into silly men, which is what I try not to be. On the other hand when I try to put on a silly front, serious girls get turned off by that. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.
