Anybody have any family remedies for treating colds?

I'm feeling a fever coming on and I'm my body's aching. I'm trying to drink lots of fluids and rest a bit. Tylenol seems to work as well. Anyone have any other home remedies that might work? I hate getting sick.

Put 2 ornges in boiling water..leave for 4 minutes. Then take them out and peel them. If you eat them, it should give you a vitamin C rush.

Can't do it. disbelief I'm vegetarian. Would vegetable soup work just as well?

OK this is only for the brave, take four garlic cloves and squeeze the juice out of them and drink it, do this twice aday until symptoms leave, noone might not talk to you for a couple of days but it works. Also, squeeze lemon halves into your tea, and drink orange juice from fresh oranges not that store bought stuff that's full of sugar.

Cutting your head off DOES work, I tried it once instant sinus relief.

Paracetamol (acetomenophin for the US), hot honey and lemon (nice one JD),

Best is Hot lemon, with honey, a shot of whisky, a couple of crushed cloves, and paracetamol.

No, fake head. Most of me is fake actually. I go to a doc who trained at the Cloudbuster school of Medicine. I broke my thumb - he cut my hand off, I got asthma - he ripped my lungs out, I sprained my knee skiing and he ut BOTH my legs off so I couldn't do it again and when I got genital herpes, well, y'know.

I am infact made mostly of latex, papyrus and that sawdust stuff you put at the bottom of hamster cages.

my back in the day cold remedy...

i had always heard whiskey, honey, and lemon juice... but because i don't really like honey, and i can't imagine lemon juice being that good with whiskey, i used to triple up on the whiskey and throw in a few tavist-d and benedryl for good measure...

it really doesn't help you get over the cold any quicker, but you stay so wasted, that you hardly even notice that you're sick... mr.green...
