Just to clarify things, I have not left permanently, nor as a result of the good people you mentioned leaving. Right now I am taking a break from participating in discussion here, but I have not decided yet whether or not to deactivate my account. I suspect I won't because I'm as aware as anyone that people never actually leave this place. My reasons are many and mainly personal, although I did feel it was time to take a break when the new forum came along.

I am logging in periodically to read and send orgnotes and when I do, I usually take a look around the forums. I will come back when, and if, I feel the time is right for me.

I will add my email address into my profile so that anyone who wants to keep in touch can do so.

Anyway, I just wanted to clear things up. I'd appreciate it if you didn't reply to my post here as (a) I'm unlikely to see it, and (b) I don't want this to become a thread about me. As those of you who know me are aware, I dislike "goodbye" threads - they irritate the hell out of me. (See the thread I created in the site discussion forum if you're in any doubt) .. anyway, that's the reason I didn't create one, so sorry for the confusion to any of you who didn't know - I didn't really orgnote anyone either - sorry. As I said before, "like Arnie, I'll be back"

I will be keeping an eye on all of you from time to time but in the meantime, feel free to drop me a line by email.

I was one of those annoucing their goodbye, took a two month break posting and accessing this site (not counting the occassional orgnote check). I purposely started a thread about it cuz I had to vent some of the griefs and feelings I had at that time with the org.community, perhaps with the idea that it might be picked up by peeps (prolly not but hadda try). Most (but not all) of that stuf which made me uncomfy is seemingly taken care of.
As for other reasons ot starting goodbye threads maybe we could ask when they return.

When I "left" it wasn't because I was upset or anything. I just got less and less interested on what was going on. Especially with Prince related stuff. I still love the Prince MUSIC and all but beyond that I was bored. :+) People usually stay in some form though... likely as a "lurker"! :+) I was going to go into a "deep thought" thing after this point but I'm too lazy and tired. I also remember that making points on here is annoying because you always have to explain yourself 300 times and some people get anal about most anything! One of the things I do NOT miss at all about this place. :+)

why leave? no one's forcing you to come here. if the only way you can limit the time you spend here is to have your account deactivated, then that's a problem, if you don't want to post here anymore.

as for those who want to leave, i'm sorry, but i've got no sympathy for them, even though there are people i genuinely like who have left recently. if they don't want to be here, then there's no reason i should want them to stay.

I cant say Im not a bit annoyed with some people. Its alright them wanting 2 leave but its dissapointing that they are peeps U liked and they havent pre-warned U. Seems like 2 some people they wanna focus on the drama and be apart of it by upping and leaving rather than ignoring it and enjoying the banter and fun with friends here.
