Yes, unfortunately I do. Not too well but...my husband worked with a guy a couple of years ago who killed his two year old daughter so he could "get back at" his ex-wife. She had custody and he had visitation rights. She was trying to get his visitation rights revoked as she knew he was very unstable, but he kept convincing the judge otherwise. He took the little girl on his scheduled day and strangled her. Poor little thing was only 2. Needless to say, he's in jail for what I hope is the rest of his life. I only met him once at a company function. Once was enough. He was a huge drinker with a very foul mouth and a total racist red-neck. Yuk

i think so. i used to work (three months) for an attorney few years back, he took me to lunch one day (get to know each other better) talked a lot, and ended up telling the story of how his uncle had been an alcoholic bum, always bothering the atty's dad - the bum's brother - for money. and how one day not long after the dad died the bum brother came begging by the house for money, upsetting dad's widow in a big way, not knowing his bro had died and all, and generally creating a fuss; well anyway atty said he took bum uncle away from the house and out for a ride somewhere, they stopped, they had a bottle/drink, two, three...twenty drinks later atty said they fought or something, he bashed bum's head in w/rock and left him there.. . . .

now mind you he could have been putting me on, but he'd been through treatment for rage control and had an admitted drinking problem himself (divorced three times by his former wives) plus he seemed the type of attorney who learned the rules in order to break them (certainly his time-keeping/billing practices were...odd) so i think there's a good chance he was serious. he said no one ever knew or cared what happened to his uncle the bum. . .

btw he's quite good-looking, lives here in mpls and all so any you ladies out there dating someone like this be aware... scary shit

shocked i said whoa dude! ima run like hell now!! time to find another employer.. . .

he was convicted of killing 7 people. however, the circumstances regarding his conviction are very shady indeed, as were many of the Illinois death row sentences Ryan commuted.

i'm not a fan of what Ryan did with his blanket commutations, but there are cases where there was no other option because of the corrupt way in which the convictions were reached.

I knew this guy a while back who killed a cop in Oakland back in 95. He was spotted a few days later in Newark, Ca and was killed by the cops.

Yup. That's fucked up when you think about it confuse

But anyway it was self defense in my friend's case. 3 kids came out of an alley with machetes and went after my friend Brian. He had a one inch pocket knife and when they started fighting and he stabbed him and the kid died.

There was this guy I knew in High School who assisted a murder while he was buzzed on robotussin. He was a bit older than me so I never really talked to him, but he seemed like a pretty big asshole. Wouldn't have figured he'd murder anyone, though.

Yes.

I have a cousin who killed his girlfriend, and I have an acquaintance (I wouldn't really call him a friend) who killed another guy in a drug-related incident. Also, a friend of my father (both now deceased of natural causes) once killed a girlfriend in self-defense after she tried to stab him in a drunken rage.

This reminds me...I know a guy who was tried for the murder of a high school mate who allegedly had scorned him. I'm convinced neither of his guilt or innocence, but equally possible is that she was killed by her actual boyfriend, who was addicted to Robitussin, had written notes threatening to sacrifice her (to whom no one knows) and was just earlier that day released from alcohol and drug rehab.

It was a huge case here in Cleveland around 1992, because these were all straight-"A" gifted students from a very wealthy suburb.

Yes. And I don't even live in the states!!!

A class mate from 3rd grade thru to high school (my best friend's cousin) shot his friend over a card game, he's in for life. He was a very nice boy, so it was a real shock.

My husband's cousin (father of 3 and a cop) killed his own father, I had just met him the year he did it.

I also knew a girl who got murdered. She dropped out of school and when she was 16 her boyfriend who was drunk, climbed in thru her bedroom window and smashed her head in with a block of concrete.

When you guys say Robitussin, are we talkin' the cough medicine? I know there's alcohol in Robitussin, and most cough medicines, but never knew there were addictive traits to the shit...

Is this a factor in many murders?

I agree with you. Ryan did what he had to do with all of the corruption that was going on but, in this guy's case, he was caught red-handed and I think there should have been different circumstances for him.
