I really, really dislike emoticons and those message icons everyone uses on the internet. And I especially hate the animated one's or when people just over-use them. The Org users use emoticons and smiley faces with reckless abandon! Stop it now please!! They are ugly, corny and just plain annoying!! They look so cheap and nasty.

But Prince's Love Symbol is not an emoticon - an emoticon is an 'icon' that displays 'emotion'.

The Love Symbol was simply Prince's name, logo or symbol if you will.

Prince would never use an emoticon - he ain't that geeky.
