One thing I do know women cannot change men, no matter how much we love them. MOST men are selfish creatures no matter if they black or white. It's just their nature. Only through the aging process do they grow out of it, or if they had early (pre-teen) training in the ways of maturity. So looking at it from this angle, who cares whether Miranda gets Blair.
