bizarre sexism

i was doing stuff in the yard yesterday...i've let it go a bit lately...need to get back on top of it... i was a little annoyed with myself for letting it get out of hand... because i feel that it's MY responsiblility to look after that stuff... i would never expect my fiance to do it... same with things like taking the rubbish out, maintaining the pool etc
but... if for example there were dishes to be done...or clothes to be washed...i would never think. "that's her job" ...to me that would feel totally sexist... bizarre

All relationships are different. Your role is between the two of you to decide. If one of you always does the dishs that's your choice, it's not a sex thing.

It's sexiest if U are in a new relationship and U expect her to do the dishes because of the stereotypical image of couples (the old age majority). I think anyway.

i agree... but i think my thinking about the yard etc is based around the fact that i'm a guy...i don't have a problem with it...it just struck me as interesting when i thought about it

Oh, I see. U wish to play the male role in the relationship. Wage earner, wear the trousers etc. Intresting. So U think your being sexiest, but towards yourself.

kinda sorta...not so much "wear the trousers" as we make decisions together..as far as wage earner goes...we both work...but i would like her to have the choice not to, if that what she wants
do i think i'm being sexist towards myself? ..i don't know...i just got to thinking about it yesterday when i was doing stuff in the yard...i DO know i like the way things are...it feels right

I don't think it is sexism... the traditional roles exist for a reason... they kinda work smile It is not surprising the younger generations continue that approach to the family unit etc...

What I think is cool MrBliss is that you thought about it and recognized the subtle difference. And, of course, being a duck, you would want to make your environment just how you want it. ESPECIALLY the pool nod

No, they just have sex a lot then get pregnant by accident. Then the law forces the dad to provide for it so they make the best of the situation. lol
