I KNEW it would be good but not THAT good!

The price is no surprise though - If it had been over £100 then no-one but the die-hards would buy it, so I knew they would keep it reasonable 2 shift units.

My - how they are gonna fly!
woot!

In ALIEN Quadrilogy related news...

Fox Home Entertainment has also announced that on January 3rd, they will release each of the four films in the box set separately as two-disc special editions, each with the same extras, with a retail price of $26.95 a pop. The bonus 9th Quadrilogy disc, however, will only be available in box set.

Yeah, I've been really looking forward to this for ages.
Though I did hear a nasty rumor that the extended
version of Alien 3 may not be included due to some
'internal wrangling' with David Fincher. I hope this isn't
true as I was particularly looking forward to seeing a
proper copy of the long version (there's a great big
20 min section in the middle that was cut out where
they actually catch the alien). Anyway, fingers crossed!

Well - Im intruiged too - as what I originally heard from David Fincher was that the 'workprint' version he wanted 2 put out would make the film CONSIDERABLY longer than the released version - and would alter peoples perceptions of the film.

However, I was disapointed 2 read in the in-store mag this week that the DVD in this set will only have 12 extra minutes of footage included.

Shame.

the magazine came out *before* the press release of the box set.

the press release says there are more than 30 minutes added to alien 3.

supposedly there are over 45 hours (movies & bonus) worth of material on this set.

i just ordered mine smile
