If I might give my two cents, hoping kell will see this and knowing she probably won't...
JustKelley came to this site, however she found it, and saw that there were interesting people, good discussion, and prince, though he was the draw, was secondary to the relationships on here. I was so skeptical, kept sayin "you don't know what people really say, do, etc." But, internet as it is, there are still people who seem really nice, seem really intelligent, and diverse. Kelley came here a lot because she enjoyed being here, talking with people. She has a huge heart, and always tends to share very openly. I see her, I see her with her children, with her family, and she is a committed mother, a staunch defender of her children, and she has more consideration and devotion to her kids than many in this world do. So, this whole thing came to be, the new forum, etc. And yes, Kelley was enthusiastic, yes, she was punchy and bity and all. That is Kelley. She can get defensive easily..character flaw? Maybe until she stands up for you in a nanosecond. Sex focused? Maybe sometimes, as are about 1/2 of the folks on here...at times. The point is, I have known her for over 20 years, and she is a good person. Good in her heart. Where it counts. She talks a lot of shit, she gets offended pretty quickly, but she is funny, and caring, and loving. And a damn good cook. (just an extra) So, if you didn't like the new forum, did like it, taking hostilities out on one person, or two is not the answer. If she or anyone else responds to your comments, if you really don't like the comments, ignore them. How difficult can it be? Maybe we all need a new lesson in growing up, even on the org, even on the "internet". There are too many who like each other, regardless of if it is just cyberworld, to let something this meaningless bring this place into total chaos. | |

Paintsprayer, just a little word of well-meaning advice from me. Maybe you'll roll your eyes at it or tell me to fuck off, and that's fine, but please just consider it.
I've been in your situation before, where I felt a very close Org friend was being unfairly treated/attacked by others here. I took on a few people over it (mostly privately), and all it did was cause even more grief for the person involved as well as for me. The person in the middle will almost always get turned against, eventually, especially if they use very aggressive means to express themselves. Talking about "duckhunting season", "webbed feet", etc. and the other things you're saying towards MrBliss is probably going to backfire on you. You may say you don't care if it does, or that it's worth it to stick up for your friend, but it's not going to help either of you. Bluesbaby's methods are much more effective (as you can see from people's responses). This truly is meant in a helpful way, Paint. Hope all is well... | |
