Something else that gets old are these 'Orger Appreciation Threads.' I LOVE most of the people on here--in fact, you can count my number of Org enemies on one hand--but these 'so-and-so-is-a-great-Orger' threads get on my nerves sometimes. I dunno...I just hate popularity contests. Always have, always will...

Yeah, but on the other hand it does cheer some1 up when people say nice things about U Im sure U will agree. As 4 popularity contests I gotta agree though. Kinda puts what's written under Prince.Org on the left hand side of my screen in2 pail insignificance.

I agree, JD. It's just that there are many Orgers who get left out in the cold simply because they don't have access to the Internet all day and can't start a million threads like some of you folks who are lucky enough to have office jobs.

I mean, yeah, if someone is feeling down, an appreciation thread would SURELY make them feel better. But I think some Orgers view being popular in a very serious manner.

I'm not going to mention names, but there are some Orgers who undeniably take Org popularity very seriously. They're like those people in high-school who sign up for every social club and run for student council solely to get popularity.

Christ, I graduated high-school so I could away from all that crap. That's one of the main reasons why I've had my account deleted three times. I only come back because I miss the friends I have on here. But sometimes the temptation to hit the Log Off button and never come back sounds REALLY tasty...

I'm hardly ever mentioned in these kinds of threads. Still, I know who my groovy friends are.

Me neither and it really doesn't bother me either. But I am beginning to regret starting this one.

I didn't intend it to be a "popularity" thread so much as a way of appreciating one another, especially those you wouldn't normally give a shout-out to. So, I'm sorry to all those who are offended by it, or have posted negative comments here. I was naive to start the thread in the first place I guess and expect anything other than what it's turned in to. A mistake. I'm sorry.

No, Rasp, I'M SORRRY. I know you didn't mean any harm and I'm sorry if I jacked your thread. But the thing is...most of the people who were given 'shout-outs' on this thread get 'shout-outs' ALL THE TIME.

But no, honey, I know your intentions were pure and PLEASE don't feel bad. I know you're not one of the "popularity hounds" I described earlier.

They know who they are--even if they are too chickenshit to admit it.

Thank you Dudedrops. I agree with your comments. Like you, I was disappointed at the way this thread turned out. I wish there was a "kill thread" button, but I think it'll just die now anyway ... rightfully so biggrin

Lately I have been getting a super feel for the org ladies. Namely sag10, AnotherLoverToo, and Lleena. Not to say I don't love many many more of the orgers but this is how I'm feeling right now. Tomorrow I will go back to hating them, per my nature.
