What do you see out of your window?

Does the view have any special meaning to you?

the downtown mpls skyline. as for any special meanin, not really. one of the main reasons i got my apartment was for the view. i wish i had a digital camera so i could take a pic of how the skyline looks from my apartment, it's awesome (especially at night)!!

What a beautiful thread. For some reason, standing at a window looking out has always had such a meditative quality for me... even with a mediocre view.

Anyway, from the room I'm in now, I am overlooking my backyard with a pear tree, a plum tree and a gigantic old Willow tree (my favorite species along with a Living Oak.)

Out of any front-facing window, I see the Japanese Maple in my front yard. It remains red all year and during this time, it brightens into an absolutely stunning crimson. I love it!

...Nevermind all the leaves I've got to rake tomorrow.

As for my view's meaning, looking out at my yard always flashes me forward through my daughter's childhood here. It's where she'll play, learn, get into trouble with friends, etc.

A few trees with their Autumnal leaves, a railway track and grey sky. Just another November day really, except it's Rememberance Sunday...
