Homebrew

Right now I'm drinking a glass of homebrew

Pale ale

The beer really needs about 2 more weaks to carbonate and mature.
But I had about half a gallon left when I ran out of bottles

It is not ready yet but I am drinking it anyways
It is bitter raw and yeasty, but a wonderful red amber color

and boy is it potent, just two pints in and hoo boy.

I have made beer cider mead sour dough and sour kraut, do any of you fermen t anything?

(I guess I just left this open to dirty jokes huh?)

well if it goes like previous batches
I get into it more and mor and by the time
3 or 4 weeks in the bottle go by( and I'm halfway through the batch) it is nicely carbonated and tastes great.

start to finish a batch of five gallons usually takes me about a month and a half.

I've had stuff go to vinigar on me to, nothing to do but toss it out and start over
(or drink it in depraved desperation pretending it's just really dry)

I didn't realise you drank pale ale over there ... I thought it was all lager.

99.9% lager over here

There are a lot more micro breweries nowadays, but truth be told I was probably 25 before I new that all the diferent beers I had tried were all pilsner lager

I didn't even know ale was beer when I was younger

Mostly homebrewing opened my eyes to a lot of it. most homebrew is ale, you need controlled refrigeration for lager, and just cellar tem. for ale.

I have made this same recepie with Irish and British yeast
Irish is fruitier and british is crisper
